Shall we see if Erik is successful and saves the day? "Hang On If You Want To Come Along!" There's no more to say!

Annie grew up in the small, predominantly Norwegian community of Stoughton, Wisconsin. After teaching there for thirty-three years, she retired and began writing child-friendly Norwegian folktales. Her first book, "The Terrible Troll Cat," has been enjoyed by children of all ages. Now, "Ivar, the Short, but Brave Viking," takes center stage.

Annie currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin with her husband, Fred and their German Shorthaired Pointer, Birdie.

Ivar, The Short But Brave Viking

If you heard a terrifying noise on a dark and stormy night, would you be brave enough to open your door to see what it was?

"Ivar, the Short but Brave Viking" certainly was and so began the adventure of a lifetime.

Come with Ivar as he faces a fierce Forest Troll, a pair of lake dwelling Water Trolls called Noekkens, a fiddle playing Fossegrimmen, and finally a three headed Mountain Troll all in order to return the little lost Mountain Troll Kitten to its rightful owner. The safety of the village of Ardal is at stake.

Will he be successful? There is only one way to be sure. Read the story! Enjoy the journey!

Susan Hanson and Annie Jacobsen have been good friends since they were six months old. Susan and her father Robert Hanson have been drawing, painting, and sculpting most of their lives. Robert is a fine artist and has been Susan's lifelong mentor. Susan's background in the arts and her continuing study of various painting and sculpting techniques keep her excited about each new project. Her love of animals, her Norwegian heritage, and her supportive family inspire many of her illustrations.
